Cost of nfl rewind1/2/2024 While the Saints are not actively requesting the NFL to replay Sunday's game, Saints Owner Gayle Benson said in a statement she wants to work with the NFL so incidents like what happened on Sunday do not happen again. Guillory said he has suffered “intentional infliction of emotional distress," and asks for repayment for the cost of game tickets, parking, hotels and travel. The lawsuit, which is setup as a class-action suit, names the NFL, the State of Louisiana and four of the referees as defendants. The Advocate reported that a second lawsuit was filed by Darrell Guillory, who claimed he was defrauded by the NFL for it not enforcing its own rules. Saints receiver Michael Thomas tweeted at the NFL on Monday also calling for part or all of Sunday's game to be replayed.ĭ'Amico's suit, on behalf of season ticket holders Tommy Badeaux and Candis Lambert, claims the plaintiffs suffered emotional trauma and a loss of enjoyment of the game, the Advocate reported. In one suit filed by attorney Frank D'Amico Jr., it is noted that the NFL Commissioner has the ability to replay part or all of Sunday's game per league rules. In light of Sunday's missed penalty, fans in New Orleans have filed suit against the NFL, according to the New Orleans Advocate Instead of the Saints getting setup for a potentially game-winning touchdown, the Rams ended up winning the game in overtime following the blown call. An estimated 45 million people tuned in for last Sunday's NFC title game between the Saints and Rams, and most clearly saw a pass interference that should have been called against the Rams.īut the people that mattered, namely the seven referees working Sunday's game in the Superdome, did not call a pass interference.

Like riding a bike or playing tennis, what I want you to understand is relaxing the body yet staying conscious is just a skill to develop (there’s a reason why we call mediation a practice). Just like it’s harder to fall asleep when the neighbor is mowing his lawn, your teenager is playing hip-hop music in the next room, or there’s coffee brewing in the kitchen-it’s harder to get into that meditative state because the external sensory information keeps us focused on our outer world, instead of our inner. If we can allow our bodies to begin to fall asleep while we are aware of our inner world, we’re in the perfect state to begin our transformational and/or creative work. As we sit still and relax our body, we stop thinking because our brain is naturally processing less sensory information. When we wake up in the morning, serotonin-the daytime neurotransmitter-creates the same process in reverse our brain waves go from delta to theta, from theta to alpha, and from alpha to beta.Īs we close our eyes and begin the meditation process, it makes sense that we are changing our brain chemistry from serotonin to melatonin, and thus our brain waves follow suit. When we go to bed at night, the nighttime neurotransmitter melatonin makes our brain waves go from beta to alpha, from alpha to theta, and from theta to delta. These two times of the day are when the door to the subconscious mind naturally opens up. Look at it this way-falling asleep and waking up is not something we have to learn how to do, right? We do it every day. If you’re not trying to change anything, you can simply open yourself up to receiving unknown possibilities and create something new. By dropping into the operating system of the brain, we can alter habits, behaviors, and remove emotional scars. Think of the subconscious as the brain’s operating system. It’s through our meditation practice that we can enter the subconscious and change our unwanted programs. In fact, this is where we enter the realm of high beta brain waves and now the analytical mind is now overly active. As a result, instead of sinking deeper into consciousness, our brain waves climb the ladder to higher levels of beta brain wave activity. When this happens over and over, our body becomes addicted to these emotional states, and thus becomes addicted to the hormones of stress-further miring us in negative feedback loops. Once we feel those emotions like frustration, judgement, fear, or anger, we tend to think more thoughts equal to those self-limiting emotions. This type of circuitous, negative thinking manufactures corresponding chemicals in the brain that signal the body to feel emotionally. When you can’t sleep at night, it’s typically because your mind is racing and you’re processing thoughts about your family, job, health, an upsetting event that happened earlier in the day, and of course-a worst-case future scenario that doesn’t actually exist. It takes relaxing, getting comfortable, and discontinuing thought to change your brain and body’s physiology-and you do this every night as you fall asleep. In alpha, your breathing naturally slows down, the voice in your head quiets, and the more you continue to relax, the more you begin sliding down the ladder of consciousness into the theta and delta states. Once you get beyond beta, the first layer of the subconscious is the alpha brain state. This usually indicates someone is living in an emergency mode-otherwise known as fight or flight. But when the brain is in high beta, that means it’s in a highly aroused, overly-active state. When the conscious mind is awake and functioning optimally, it exists in the realm of the beta state. If you can begin your practice with the understanding that all you’re doing is relaxing your body (just like when you’re falling asleep) while keeping your mind conscious and awake-and if you can continuously move deeper into this state of relaxation while focusing on nothing (or not thinking)-you’ve just opened the doorway between the conscious and subconscious mind. What I want you to understand is that you already know how to do this, because you do it every day. The purpose of meditation is to slow down your brain waves and get beyond the thinking, analytical mind. That’s why I want to demystify the meditation process. If your meditation practice continuously feels like a herculean effort, and you can’t stop thinking, analyzing, and wondering if you’re doing it right, you’re doing the exact opposite of what you’re trying to accomplish.

Miss management torrent1/2/2024 This version lets you download and handle torrent files directly from your web browser, eliminating the need for separate software installation. UTorrent Web presents a web-based version of the well-known uTorrent torrent client. BitTorrent introduced the Mainline DHT system and is now used with several popular torrent clients, including uTorrent. Mainline DHT, short for the distributed hash table, is an alternative mechanism to trackers that some BitTorrent clients use to find peers for file sharing. Seeding involves sharing torrent files with other individuals by keeping your client account open. Connect directly to seeds with UPnP - choose “Enable UPnP Port Mapping” from the connections section of the preferences menu to allow direct connections to seeders.Add new trackers. This adds new seeds and peers to your torrent download and will increase uTorrent download speed in most cases.Simply right-click on the file you want to prioritize and adjust the bandwidth allocation to high. How to speed up uTorrentįortunately, there are several options to speed up uTorrent. Also, this program sometimes requires a lot of CPU power and bandwidth, and if you have a lot of other applications running and competing for bandwidth, things can really slow down. This is usually due to slow network connections or congestion-some public Wi-Fi providers block or rate-limit torrent access, which can contribute to the problem. Sometimes, uTorrent downloads very slowly, and that can be frustrating. Foss bytes maintains a list of legally available torrents. Note-you should only download content that is legally available to you. It is essentially a set of instructions for uTorrent to begin locating and downloading the content from a wide range of peer sources around the internet. Psychoanalysis iceberg1/1/2024 This model focuses on the role of the unconscious mind in taking various decisions and shaping the personality and behaviour of the person. Each component plays a unique and notable contribution to the human personality. According to Freud’s psychoanalytic theory of personality, human behaviour and personality depend on the interactions among the three major components, i.e., the id, ego, and superego. The human personality and behaviour are very diverse and complex to explain Sigmund Freud’s structural model of personality attempts to explain it through different personality components. Sigmund Freud’s Structural Model of Personality In this case, it becomes almost difficult for a person to recall such past incidents that have been influencing his/her behaviour since they happened in his/her life. For example, the hatred towards a particular family member due to strict parenting, or any childhood traumatic incidents that the person doesn’t remember, but which deeply affects his/her current behaviour. The unconscious consists of all those feelings, thoughts, or desires that the person is not aware of, but it influences almost every aspect of his/her daily life. For example, you may not be thinking about your sibling’s mobile number at the given moment, but you’ll immediately recall the number whenever needed. For example, suppose a girl is riding a bike hence, the vehicles, road in her field of vision, and the horn sound she is hearing, or anything else she is experiencing at that moment such as hunger, thirst, or pain, are all present in her consciousness.Įverything that the person is not paying attention to at the given moment, but the information is readily available to enter into the conscious of the person whenever it’s required. ConsciousnessĮverything that we are feeling, thinking, wishing, or paying attention to at the given moment, comes under the consciousness of our mind. Freud proposed that there exist three levels of awareness, i.e., consciousness, preconscious, and unconsciousness these levels are discussed below. My Life is interesting only if it is related to psychoanalysis” -Sigmund Freud (1884) Sigmund Freud’s Topographic Model of the PsycheĪccording to Freud, a large part of our thoughts, feelings, and desires are unconscious, and the knowledge and interpretation of the unconscious of the person play a very crucial role in psychoanalysis as it helps to get a true and deeper insight into an individual’s mind. Although his psychoanalytic theories have been criticized by many, it remains as one of the most influential theories in psychology. During this time, he suffered from jaw cancer, and he died on 23 September 1939 in London. In 1923, Freud elaborated on the three parts of the human psyche, i.e., id, ego, and superego, in his publication “The Ego and the Id.” Freud, along with his family, left Austria and shifted to London in 1938 due to the arrival of Nazis. Hereafter, he went on exploring the various aspects of the unconscious mind and its influence on the behaviour of an individual. Freud, along with his followers, established the ‘International Psychoanalytic Association’ in 1910. In 1901, he published one of his popular books, “The Interpretation of Dreams,” which involves various psychoanalytic techniques such as free association and dream analysis. This research served as an important tool in the development of Freud’s psychoanalytic theories. After he returned to Vienna, he left the psychiatry clinic and set up his private clinical practice, where he and his colleague Joseph Breuer studied the case histories of hysteria clients and later published their research “studies on hysteria” (1895). He developed his interest in the treatment of the ‘hysteria’ (post-traumatic stress) patients during his short placement at the Salpetriere clinic, Paris. After his graduation, he worked at the psychiatry clinic of the Vienna general hospital. He completed his graduation in medicine in 1881 from the University of Vienna. His family later shifted to Vienna, where he spent most of his childhood and adulthood.
