Sigma kappa recommendation form1/1/2024 ![]() ![]() Being a part of Sigma Kappa is truly a life-changing experience, and has contributed to our lives in more ways than we can count. There is an abundance of love and support within this chapter and it is something we pride ourselves in. With all of these amazing differences, Sigma Kappa is what brought us together. At UGA, some Panhellenic sororities require a recommendation from an alumna member of that sorority before the sorority may extend a bid to that woman. The Sigma Kappa Chapter is filled with women from all different backgrounds, who all have different dreams, goals, and interests. Last year we raised $23,000 at our last Walk to End Alzheimer's! Sigma Kappa has become one of the nation's leading private contributors to Alzheimer's disease prevention. Our main focus is on Alzheimer's disease, a growing epidemic with someone in the United States developing it every 66 seconds and is the nation's six-leading death. The women of Sigma Kappa are dedicated to supporting five philanthropies, Sigma Kappa Foundation, Inherit the Earth, Mine Seacoast Mission, Alzheimer's disease, and Gerontology. ![]() Our symbols, dove, and heart, demonstrate our values and are a close connection to our open motto: One Heart, One Way.
